40 Days of Hope and Encouragement 1 Month, 1 Week ago
The web site has been fairly quiet for awhile but since the holidays are now over and the time approaches for Ryan's new trial, I've been thinking a lot about him, Jill, Gary and the Widmer & Steward families. I know the coming events are constantly on their minds.

Some of you are working on arrangements for a live prayer vigil and an online prayer vigil before the trial, but in the time leading up to those events, I'm asking that you join me for 40 days of prayer, or messages of hope and encouragement for Ryan, his attorneys and both the Widmer and Steward families.

In a Bible Study years ago, I learned the number 40 was always associated with a time of trial and testing and both families have certainly been put through that in the last 1 1/2 years. So I'm hoping and praying that this approximately 40 days before the new trial starts, will give the families peaceful hearts and lead to Ryan being vindicated. May Ryan and both families finally have the peace in their lives that they deserve and may the Steward family ~know~ in their heart of hearts that Ryan is innocent.

Starting Feb. 1st, I'll begin to post some scriptures, a poem, message of encouragement or a prayer every day. I hope all of you will please take the time to post something too and feel free to post as often as you like.

Whenever you have time, please post a word of encouragement, even if it's only a sentence or two. This idea has been weighing on me for several days and I feel that God has laid this upon my heart that we need to cover Ryan and his family with our thoughts and prayers at all times, leading up to the trial.

Wonderful and thoughtful idea Marbelt...

I have been spending a lot of time finishing school work these days and it happens to be a Christian University. Not to get off the subject, but I chose it because it accepted quite a bit of transfer credits for me.

At this time, I am doing a Powerpoint presentation on Jesus. I would love to share some items with everyone daily that I pulled out of the bible.

I have to say, I am not a very religious person but I am a VERY spiritual person and believe in Miracles and Good things for good people such as Ryan!!

I hope the Lord hears our prayers and thoughts, May the Lord walk quielty at your side everyday young man, and May you feel his very presence as this new trial approaches...

Love and God Bless,

Jaye

PS~Is anyone planning on getting something together for Ryan close to trial time. I really want to come down. I was ill last time with surgery and all but this time...I am HERE to support in whatever way I can!!

I would not mind to have something at my house, but I know I am some ways away from everyone. So, maybe easier for me to travel to you guys!!

Please, let me know:)

I know the way into your presence, Father.

It is through Jesus alone.

He is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

There is no way for me to reach the Father, but through Him.

In Jesus, I have a perfect revelation of You, Father.

Through Him, I both see and know your heart, God.

If I ever wonder what You think of me, I can look to Jesus and all of my wondering will be laid to rest.

(John 14:6)

Amen,

Hear our prayer Lord, for Ryan. Please, Free him so that he may live his life again. And, May Sarah rest in Peace. Bring her family closure...

I found some more as I was thinking about this tonight, Great Idea marbelt!!

In case I do not make it back tomorrow, I have to work 11am-11pm in the ICU so I a here in spirit: ALWAYS!

A PRAYER FOR STRENGTH

O Lord,

In this time of need, strengthen me.

You are my strength and my shield;

You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

I know, Father, that Your eyes go to and fro throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts long for You.

My hope is in You to renew my strength and my patience.

I do not fear, for You are with me.

I am not dismayed or overwhelmed, for You are my God.

I know You will strengthen me and help me; that You will uphold me with Your

righteous hand.

Even as the shadows of fear may be cast upon my head, I feel the comfort of

Your strength, O Lord.

Amen.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

O Lord, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee; be thou their arm every morning our salvation also in the time of trouble.

Isaiah 33:2

Thank you so much for joining me, Jaye. You're words are so beautiful and comforting.

DAY 1

A Friend is a Treasure
A friend is someone we turn to,
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure,
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives,
with beauty, joy and grace.
And makes the world we live in,
a better and happier place

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!

Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.

Father, thank you for Ryan's friends, the ones he knows and the unseen friends from this web site. Thank you for our friend, Mike; for giving him the inspiration to set up this site, so we can come together to share Ryan's burden. Our earthly friends are truly a blessing. Thank you for our heavenly friend, Jesus, who we can talk to any time, day or night. May His presence and comfort be felt in both the Widmer and Steward families. Amen

Re:40 Days of Hope and Encouragement 1 Month ago
I've been thinking about Sarah. I watched the video tribute to her again. What a beautiful young lady she was. Although I didn't know her personally, everyone spoke of her with glowing comments....and she lit up Ryan's life. She was his joy and the love of his life. I could see in her eyes and face the enthusiasm and joy she had in life.

I've been thinking about Sarah's mother too. As the mother of two daughters, I can't imagine the pain of losing either of them. Our daughters are such a comfort to us -- a copy of ourselves in spirit, heart and emotions.

"A daughter is a mother's gender partner, her closest ally in the family confederacy, an extension of her self. And mothers are their daughters' role model, their biological and emotional road map, the arbiter of all their relationships." ~Victoria Secunda

For Sarah and her family:

Little they knew that morning that God was going to call your name.
In life they loved you dearly, in death they do the same.
It broke their hearts to lose you, you did not go alone;
for part of them went with you the day God called you home.

You left them peaceful memories, your love is still their guide,
and though they cannot see you, you are always by their side.
The family chain is broken and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls them one by one, the chain will link again.”

O God, our God of compassion who binds up the wounds of the broken-hearted, bring comfort and healing to Sarah's mother and family. She is now in heaven with her earthly father and her Heavenly father so she is not alone. Let her family believe and know that Ryan did not harm her. Sarah chose Ryan to be her life partner because she loved him and he is a good man. Let her family remember the love and happiness they shared. Amen

Dear Heavenly Father,

I lift up Ryan, his family, and Sarah's family to You for peace and strength. Please bind these families together again. It's hard when we lose a loved one but even worse when a whole family is lost. Bring healing to their broken hearts as they face another year without their dear Sarah.

As the trial approaches, I pray that You will enlighten Ryan's attorneys with the knowledge they need to represent him and prove his innocence. Close those doors that need to be closed and open those that should be opened. Where there is doubt, bring clarity. Where there are lies, bring truth. It is my prayer, Lord, that Your justice be handed down in this case. You know the truth and the truth will set Ryan free.

Most importantly, make Your presence known to Ryan in a way that there is no doubt that You are near him. I know you have a devine plan for his life and soon these chains will be broken and those blessings You have stored up for him will abound. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Re:40 Days of Hope and Encouragement 1 Month ago
Day 2

After reading some of the blogs about Ryan's case, I've been thinking about Words.

There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day.

A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them. Be careful of what you say.

Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words....it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times.

Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.
Be special to others.

Romans 15:4 - "Whatever things were written before, were written...that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope."

I'm grateful to know that the God who created the universe gave us His written Word so we "might have hope" as we face the trials of life. His personal message to us tells us what He desires for us to be and what He desires to be for us.

Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens, Your faithfulness continues through all generations.....Psalm 119:89-90

Your word is a lamp unto my feet; a light unto my path...Psalm 119:105

May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart always be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

Heavenly Father, thank you for your written Word to us, your Holy Bible. As we go through life, we know that your Word is there always to lift us up when we're down, comfort us when we have sorrow and guide us to make the right choices. As the time approaches for Ryan's new trial, I ask that we speak the words that will encourage him and his family and lift up their spirits; may the encouraging words in YOUR Word give them assurance that Ryan will finally be vindicated. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Sing them over again to me, wonderful words of life,
Let me more of their beauty see, wonderful words of life,
Words of life and beauty teach me faith and duty,

Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life
Beautiful words, wonderful words, wonderful words of life

Day 2:

Marbelt, how does one follow such beautiful prayers? But, I will try...

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart.
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are prosecuted because of rightousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 5:4

Lord, we come before you with an open heart and open mind asking that YOU walk beside our dear friend Ryan, his family and Sarah's family at this time. Surround them with your love and protection, shield them from evil and prosecution. Let these lies be told truths and Let Ryan Live again...

Bring Peace and Harmony to these families that have been broken this last 18 mos. and Please, carry Ryan on those days when the burdens are too much for him to bear. Bring him Everlasting Love and faith...

We ask this in your name, Lord...

Amen,

Jaye

AMEN and Amen! As I said before, there IS strength in numbers and WE ARE the numbers!! Keep praying and believing and these prayers WILL be answered because the WORD says so.

Thank YOU, Father, for these promises and these people who have joined together in Ryan's defense. Lord, we thank you in advance of receiving a NOT GUILTY verdict because we know You will see Ryan through this! I pray that you will bind satan from the Widmer family and destroy all his plans to bring despair upon them. Give them the armor they need to ward off his attacks. All of these things I ask in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! Amen.

WORDS...

Marbelt,I was thinking the same thing last night but I failed to mention it in my blog.

Our positive words breathe LIFE and negative words breathe death. The positive things we say and, even think, are sent to the angels and they carry them out. The bad thing is that when we think or say negative things... the demons run with those. People are so unaware of what our words can do to any situation. Don't speak death, speak LIFE! Uplifting words are healing to the heart and mind and I truly believe that our words can affect the outcome of a situation. So, we should be careful what we say and if we slip up and think a negative thought, apologize to God and call it back before satans army grabs onto it. I'm thankful to have had a dear friend share this with me and believe me, it's true!

Love,
~c~

I promise this is the last blog...but I have to say that I feel like I KNOW all of you! I love all of you! Even though we have never met, I feel a HUGE bond to Ryan and his family and those wonderful people I have met on here. Is it possible to love someone you've never even met? Sure it is! With God, ALL things are possible...

I love you, mean it!

I feel the same way Crystal. My daughter said she felt from the beginning that it was divine intervention that got so many people involved, and I think it's because we are all united in sharing our love and support for the Widmer family.

Day 3

I've been thinking about time and patience.

I am not always a patient person. While the jury was deliberating I thought, "What's taking you so long? You should have been back in 20 minutes with a NOT GUILTY verdict!" In each step of Ryan's appeals, I thought..."OH for pete's sake...get on with it! Quit shuffling your papers! Stop giving the prosecution chance after chance to file another brief in the appeals process while this innocent young man is stuck in a world where he doesn't belong! We all know there was juror misconduct! It's not rocket science!" And now, we're waiting again....This whole case has dragged on far too long! I think I understand now why the people in Bible times, would wail and tear their garments in frustration, grief or sorrow.

Do any of you remember the lyrics from the 1960's song by The Byrds "Turn, Turn, Turn." ?? It's based on scripture from the book of Ecclesiastes in the Old Testament. Uh oh....I'm telling my age here

To Everything (Turn, Turn, Turn)
There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn)
And a time to every purpose, under Heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

A time to build up,a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together

A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing

A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late

It's hard to get those ideas into my head sometimes, but the Bible says our God is an orderly God, so there has to be a rhythm to everything in life, otherwise there would be chaos.

Heavenly Father, this waiting is so frustrating; it's been hard on all of us who believe in Ryan's innocence but it has been the hardest on him and his family. But we're in the home stretch now; we can wait a little longer; we are trusting and believing that You will bring Ryan and his family through this awful nightmare they've been living, to the final "NOT GUILTY" verdict. We're trusting in Your Word that says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 - NIV) Please confirm this in Ryan's heart, Jill and Gary's hearts, and the hearts of all of Ryan's family, friends and supporters. We ask this in Jesus' name. AMEN!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isa. 40:31

A pressing need, a burdened heart,
A longing in my soul that won’t depart,
My trouble burns as a brand upon my spiritual man,
But our all-knowing God has a plan.

I want, I pray, I beg, I plead,
My heart burdened with a Goliath need;
Our Lord knows-- we surmise,
And our petitions He will not despise.

But God doesn’t answer right away,
Though with much expectation we pray.
"Wait" - our Master seems to say-
To a heart grieved day by day.

The wait is not in vain-
Giving hope amidst all our pain.
The Lord shall turn our loss into gain,
Though God’s ways we cannot explain.

Well, you know your prayer is too long when the website times out and you have to log back in!! Ha ha. Here goes again in a condensed version.

Dear Lord,

I come to you tonight with a strong conviction to pray for Ryan's trial. I pray that You will annoint the judge with wisdom to make the right decisions and that You will hand pick each and every juror that is seated on this case. Please give them the knowledge they need to effectively evaluate the evidence before them. Impress upon them the importance of a fair trial and a just verdict. Ensure that they fully understand their duties as a juror and how important their conduct is in determining Ryan's fate.

Heavenly Father, I believe in Ryan's innocence and I pray that you will bring forth evidence to convince others of his innocence as well. I ask all these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

God may be invisible, but He's in touch.
You may not be able to see Him, but He is in control.
And that includes what you just lost.
That includes what you've just gained.
That includes ALL of life--past, present, and future!

Day 4

Amen and AMEN Crystal! What a beautiful and meaningful prayer--even if it was condensed.

I came across this little reading in my devotional booklet this morning and while it gave me a chuckle, it also made me think of Ryan and what he and his family are going through.
**********************************************

"I'll never forget my first experience using an automatic car wash. Approaching it with the dread of going to the dentist, I pushed the money into the slot, nervously checked and rechecked my windows, eased the car up to the line, and waited. Powers beyond my control began moving my car forward as if on a conveyor belt. There I was, cocooned inside, when a thunderous rush of water, soap, and brushes hit my car from all directions! WHAT IF I GET STUCK IN HERE OR WATER CRASHES IN!! I thought irrationally. Suddenly the waters ceased. After a blow-dry, my car was propelled into the outside world again, clean and polished.

In the midst of all this, I remembered the stormy times in my life when it seemed I was on a conveyor belt, a victim of forces beyond my control. "Car-wash experiences," I now call them. But then I remembered that whenever I passed through deep waters, the Lord had been with me, sheltering me against the rising tide. When I came out on the other side, which I always did, I was able to say with confidence, "He is a faithful God". -- from Our Daily Bread, RBC Ministries

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior...Fear not, I am with you.. Isaiah 43:2-5 KJV

Heavenly Father, during these coming weeks let Ryan and his family feel your presence each day, let them have faith and confidence that you will bring them through their awful ordeal and return their lives to them. In Jesus' name, Amen.

I just opened a card from my Grandmother who lives an hour and a half away and thought I would share a piece of it with you.

Anything is possible if we open our hearts and believe.
Press onward, look upward,
The time is in view,
There's a crown of Bright Glory,
Waiting for you.

I believe this for Ryan too. If you're reading this, Ryan, I am wishing you a hopeful heart and brighter days ahead!! The wait is almost over.

Goodnight all,

Day 5

For Ryan and family....
You're probably familiar with this well known poem.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life
there have only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you.”
--Mary Stevenson

Lord, we ask that you carry Ryan and his family through these coming days and weeks. Let them feel the comfort and peace of your presence each and every day, until the final day of his trial and a "Not Guilty" verdict. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Day 6

I SAID A PRAYER

I said a prayer for you my friend,
That your struggles would soon end.

That you would feel God’s peace with you,
As you trust Him each day through.

I prayed that you would feel His love,
Rain down on you from up above.

I asked Him to take care of you,
Fill you with joy and laughter too.

I prayed that He would let you know,
That He will never let you go.

That He’d pour blessings down on you,
And make your grey skies turn to blue.

I prayed that God would give you rest,
And that He’d answer your request.

I asked the Lord to touch your soul,
Fill you with hope and make you whole.

My friend I prayed that you would feel,
His gentle touch reach down and heal.

I said a prayer for you my friend,
My best wishes to you I send.

Father, You know and we know that Ryan has been falsely accused. Help us to have Faith that together with You, he cannot and will not be harmed in any way, shape or form. We ask You to walk with him and his family, protect them from sadness, depression and anxiety while they wait out the time for him to be vindicated. In Jesus' name we pray. - Amen

-Matthew 12:30

"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

-Matthew 21:22

Simple quotes from the bible for you, Ryan. Simple yet profound. Well known is the truth by our Lord. This will come to be for you as well. I hope and pray that you are surrounded by good, loving people during this trial friend!!

Always thinking of you and praying for Victory!!

Romans 5:1
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Romans 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

1Corinthians 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

2Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Prayer for Trust in Jesus

O Christ Jesus,
when all is darkness
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust
in Your protecting love
and strengthening power,
so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You,
we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.

Lord, we come before you on this Sabbath day and ask again that YOU HEAR OUR PRAYERS for our friend, Ryan. Please, surround him with your unconditional Love and Strength. Let him feel you at his side and know that you are with him, Lord.
When doubt comes into his mind, take way that doubt and fear. Replace it with peace and truimph.
We ask this in your Blessed name, Our Lord and Savior...Maker of everything that is Good in this nation...
Amen,
Jaye

Does anyone know how to post pics???

I have some really inspirational ones of Jesus, but am unable to post them. Not sure if Mike can change that function so I can do that??

I think it would go beautifully with scripture we are writing, and I know when I look at pics they make me feel better:)

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. --Psalm 34:1

This is the day which the LORD hath made;
we will rejoice and be glad in it. --Psalm 118:24

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee:
thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever. --Psalm 118:28-29

You are worthy, our LORD and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being. --Rev. 4:11

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.
Serve the LORD with gladness; come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the LORD he is God; it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise:
be thankful unto him,and bless his name.
For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting;
and his truth endureth to all generations. --Psalm 100 KJV

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
God does not need our praise but it is we who need to praise Him! While praising Him we reinforce in our minds and hearts the fact that we indeed have an almighty Father who performs miracles! He is after all a supernatural God!

It is through praise that we can trade death for life, bondage for freedom, and sorrow for joy because the Bible says that God dwells in the midst of our praise! "But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel" (Psalm 22:3)

God inhabits the praises of his people!
PRAISE BE TO GOD!

Father of all mercies and God of all consolation, we praise you and thank you for watching over Ryan with your untiring love. We praise you for giving courage and strength to him and his family in their time of trial.

We praise you that you are their refuge and strength, O Lord,
We thank you that you will reassure them of your continuing love
and lift them up into the peace and light of your presence.

We praise you that your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, has said He will
be with us always, We thank you that your Holy Spirit, our comforter,
speaks for us in groans too deep for words, when we don't know how to pray.

We will continually praise you as you stand alongside the Widmer family and
remind them of your eternal presence and give them your comfort and strength.
Praise your Holy Name, Amen.

That would be a lovely idea Jaye. When you click on the "Reply" feature on these messages, at the right end of the little task bar above the writing field, there's a pic of a monitor screen. When you hover your cursor over it, the word image shows up. Maybe that will work?

Ryan, I want to share my favorite scripture with you. When I was experiencing trials in my own life I heard this at a Women of Faith conference and it spoke volumes to my situation. I believe it applies to all things. I hope this will be comforting to you and your family as well my friend!

Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends ALL understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

~Phillipians 4:4-7

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for Your word and the comfort it brings. Thank You for my friend, Ryan. I pray that Your peace will guard Ryan's heart and mind always. Give him the strength and the courage to stand on Your promises. Again, I thank You in advance for the blessings you are about to bestow upon Ryan. You are worthy to be praised. Lord, I pray that Your divine hands will carry all of us through this trial and that in the end Ryan will have his life back. I claim his freedom in the name of Jesus! Amen

I tried clicking on the little monitor and a little window opened starting with http:// so maybe it only works if you post another web page. Send a message to Mike Mayleben and ask him. Maybe if you email the pic to him, he can insert it for you.

The Lord's Prayer Words

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,

the power and the glory,

for ever and ever.

Amen

Dearest Ryan,
I pray for you friend. Stay strong, keep that great attitude that you possess, because the Lord will not let you or your family down. Miracles do happen!! Always thinking of you:)

Day 8

Don't Quit
Author Unknown

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you're retrudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but don't you quit.

Life is strange with its twists and its turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When they might have won, had they stuck it out.
Don't give up though the pace seems slow,
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victors cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far;
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
It's when things seem worst that you must not quit!

Dear Lord,

Thank You for answered prayers and for granting the defense more time to prepare for Ryan's trial. I know Your hand is in all things! You know the desires of our hearts before we even think them because You placed them there. I ask that You will continue to work things out in Ryan's favor until he is free again. Be with Jill as she faces the stress of watching her son go through another trial. I can't imagine her pain. Lord, I am so glad that You hold in Your hands every tear we have ever shed and that You are our ever present comforter. Please continue to shine Your light on this family. Amen.

It Is Good To Wait In Silence For The Lord God To Save: Lamentations 3:17-26

My soul is deprived of peace, I have forgotten what happiness is;
I tell myself my future is lost, all that I hoped for from the LORD.

The thought of my homeless poverty is wormwood and gall; remembering it over and over leaves my soul downcast within me.

But I will call this to mind, as my reason to have hope: the favors of the LORD are not exhausted, his mercies are not spent; they are renewed each morning, so great is his faithfulness.

My portion is the LORD, says my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

Good is the LORD to one who waits for him, to the soul that seeks him; it is good to hope in silence for the saving help of the LORD.

The Word of the Lord

Amen...Praise our Lord!!!

Blessings, Jaye

There Are Many Rooms In My Father's House: John 14:1-6

Jesus said to his disciples: "Do not let your hearts be troubled.
You have faith in God; have faith also in me.
In my Father's house there are many dwelling places.
If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be.
Where (I) am going you know the way." Thomas said to him, "Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Amen...

Lord, You know what is in our Hearts and Minds. We come before you and ask that you bless Ryan and his family at such a difficult time. We ask that you bless them with peace, love and happiness. Please, make all the wrongs...right again. Only this can happen through you OUR LORD. Because, you are the creator of all that is good, pure and innocent in this world...

Amen,

Jaye, you've posted some beautiful and meaningful scripture. I felt discouraged when the trial delay was announced, but this verse jumped out at me...

...his mercies are not spent; they are renewed each morning, so great is his faithfulness.

and the verses of this great old hymn immediately came to my mind.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Refrain

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

O Christ Jesus, when discouraging events happen,
and we feel our weakness and helplessness,
give us, Ryan and his family the sense of Your presence,
Your love, and Your strength.
Help us to have perfect trust in Your protecting love
and strengthening power, so that nothing may frighten or worry us,
for, living close to You, we shall see Your hand,
Your purpose, Your will through all things.
Amen.

Lead us in wonderful prayer friend...

I say, Faith! We MUST have faith by which is all POSSIBLE!!

If we lose that, we have nothing...

I agree with you that the Lord renews this each and everyday...

Please join us in prayer and thoughts that Ryan may have strength and renewed faith as he wakes each day to start anew. We ask this in your name Jesus, for you came and died for our sins in the physical world...

When there are those of us that are doubting because of Pain, let us feel your surrounding Peace and Love. You, Lord know this is so hard and difficult to watch our son Ryan go thorough this, for we wish it was us instead if him...

Guide us in the right direction because only you know the path by which we must travel. We put it in your hands, Lord.
We trust YOU. We Love YOu...

Amen,

I will keep my post short and sweet tonight. But I do want to thank Marbelt and Jaye for being such faithful prayer WARRIORS for Ryan and his family. Your words are heartfelt and meaningful.

This scripture has been a favorite of mine for many reasons and I hope it is meaningful to you, Ryan...

I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and will bring you back from captivity.

~Jeremiah 29:11-14

WOW, who can read those words and not be uplifted? HE has plans to prosper us and give us hope and a future! All we have to do is seek HIM. He WILL deliver us from evil.

GOD is good ALL the time!

Day 10

Thank you Crystal and Jaye for your beautiful prayers and scriptures. Even though we don't know what each other is going to post, everything seems to mesh and flow together. Do I see the hand of God at work? Yes I DO! This is why I feel that we need to keep this going for the full 40 days. Who knows what unseen miracles will take place as we storm heaven with our prayers.

I found this inspiring poem and it spoke to me about Ryan's situation.

ONLY BELIEVE

Has that trial in your life been going on so long
That everything in you screams, "This is so wrong."

You can't understand, it seems God is far away
As with tears you cry out to Him everyday,

If you read God's Word His truth you will see
That He has a job for you and a job for me,

ONLY BELIEVE! is what He has to say
At His feet this problem you must lay,

In His time and in His way
An answer to your problem will be there one day,

Keep on believing, don't lose hope
He'll give you His grace enabling you to cope,

Keep your eyes on Him as to Him you cleave
He has promised He will never forsake you or leave,

Give Him time to work it all out
The devil just wants you to worry and doubt,

Praising Him is one thing He's looking for
To bless you is what He has in store,

So no matter what, even when you don't understand
ONLY BELIEVE! that's what moves His hand.
---Beverly Shaffer

Father, there are days when our faith is a little thin, and we can't believe that Ryan and his family are going through this terrible nightmare over and over again. There is no closure for the Steward family either as the days drag by, but we are hanging on, believing that all things work together for good, and trusting you to keep both families in the palms of your hands and right this terrible wrong that has been done to Ryan. In Jesus' name, Amen

Re:40 Days of Hope and Encouragement 3 Weeks, 6 Days ago
This has always been one of my favorite prayers and hopefully this will bring comfort to all those affected by this horrible injustice, most importantly Ryan and Jill.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND

One night I had a dream...
I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord, and
Across the sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene I noticed two sets of footpronts in the sand;
One belonged to me, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of my life flashed before us,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that many times along the path of my life,
There was only one set of footprints.
I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in my life.
This really bothered me, and I questioned the Lord about it.
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
You would walk with me all the way;
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
There is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why in times when I
needed you most, you should leave me."
The Lord replied,"My precious, precious
Child. I love you, and I would never,
never leave you during your times of
trial and suffering.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you."

Marbelt:

It is amazing how we continue to choose very similar prayers, inspirations and poems that mimic our same thoughts and feelings about Ryan and his family( and sarah's...)

I was listening to Rob Thomas today via U tube, and I found a beautiful song about Our Savior...Everlasting strength and fortitude.

I thought I would post the lyrics...it is along the lines of prayers for Ryan!!

Ryan this is for you GUY....

I am the one winged bird for flying
Sinking quickly to the ground
See your faith in me subsiding
See you prime for giving in
I give you all that I am

I am the sound of love's arriving
Echoed softly on the sand
Lay your head upon my shoulder
Lay your hand within my hand
I give you all that I am

And I breathe where you breathe
Let me stand where you stand
With all that I am

I am the white dove for a soldier
Ever marching as to war
I would give my life to save you
I stand guarding at your door
I give you all that I am

I am the one winged bird for flying
Sinking quickly to the ground
I am the blind man for a watchdog
I am prime for giving in
I'll show you all that I am

And I breathe so you breathe
Let me stand so you'll stand

Ryan, continue to stand tall friend. The Lord gives you all that He is...do not look too far, he is NEAR...
God Bless...

Evening prayer...

Psalm 26 (27)

Keeping faith in time of peril

The Lord is my light and my help: whom should I fear?

The Lord is my light and my help:
whom should I fear?
The Lord protects my life:
what could terrify me?
When they come to do me harm,
to consume my flesh,
my enemies and my persecutors,
it is they who stumble and fall.
If their armies encamp against me,
my heart will not fear;
if battle flares up against me,
even then will I hope.
One thing I beg of the Lord, one thing will I ask:
that I may live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
so that I may behold the joys of the Lord
and always see his temple.
For he will shelter me in his tent in the time of evils.

He will hide me in the hidden parts of the tabernacle;
then raise me up on a rock,
lift me high up above the enemies who surround me.
In his tabernacle I will offer him a sacrifice
of shouts, of songs, of psalms to the Lord.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
world without end.

Amen.

The Lord is my light and my help: whom should I fear?

We ask this before we retire for the evening Lord, that you watch over Ryan and his family. Surround them with your Love and Everlasting Peace, when they are doubting what is going on around them give them strength to look ahead...
Love,
Jaye
